I am pleased to tell you about
our firm’s background and philosophy and the services we offer
to our clients. Our clients represent nearly all facets of the business
spectrum. Regardless of size, each client receives the personalized
service for which our firm has become known.
SERVICE PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy of personalized service means, among
other things that all work performed for you or your company will
be under the personal supervision of James Caswell, CPA. Our accountants
will be assigned to the engagement as required. We also take great
pride in our ability to do work for you in a prompt and efficient
manner.
ACCOUNTING and AUDITING
Accounting and auditing services primarily involve
the examination, review or compilation of financial statements including
the summarization of accounting records, preparation of journals
and general ledgers, preparation of governmental reports and any
other accounting service needed. We use a constructive approach
when providing these services. For example, as a result of acquiring
intimate knowledge of your financial and administrative challenges,
we often recommend improvements for more efficient operation, stronger
financial structure and improved accounting and administrative controls.
Our philosophy and practice is to blend the technical, practical
and business approach into each engagement.
MANAGEMENT ADVISORY SERVICES
Our experienced staff has the knowledge necessary
to serve clients in a wide range of functional areas, such as accounting
systems, data processing, financial controls, organization and economic
feasibility. Our purpose is to help clients solve their management
problems.
TAX SERVICE
One of our principal objectives in tax service is
constructive and creative tax planning. Tax planning is an area
where we have special expertise. This includes individual tax planning,
tax shelter analysis, estate planning and planning the tax aspects
of incorporation, partnership and/or proprietorship formation. Tax
ideas and developments of unusual interest which are not ordinarily
available through commercial reporting channels, are reported to
our client. Treasury Department rulings, Congressional hearings
state tax law changes and court opinions which relate to our clients
are constantly reviewed to maintain current tax intelligence and
to get the “pulse” of coming events. Our tax service includes
the preparation of Federal and state tax returns of all kinds including
Individual, Estate, Corporate, Partnership and Trust. We also work
closely with each client to resolve tax controversies, including
representation before the IRS and State Board of Equalization and
Franchise Tax Board.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Our staff, including two CPA’s, one accountant,
and one accounting assistant/data entry person has a wide range
of experience in all areas of accounting, taxation, and management
advisory services derived from their respective tenures working
for national and/or local accounting firms. We utilize our own data
processing center including 4 networked computers for the preparation
of all of our clients financial statements and tax returns.
